"This program allows you to safely let teenagers who think
they are invincible and able to beat any system, get behind
the wheel of a vehicle, only to fail regardless of their best
attempts. This innovative program should be a required program
when teenagers take their drivers education program"
-State Senator Debbie Halvorson
"It would be wonderful if every teenager is given
the opportunity to experience this program in a controlled
environment where
we know they are safe. Even if the teen has never consumed
alcohol, has no intentions to do so, this experience will
hopefully have enough impact to possibly keep a friend who
has been
drinking, from getting behind the wheel."
-Lisa Dugan, State Representative - 79th District
"By allowing teens to experience the simulated
effects of being intoxicated while driving, I believe many
more of our
youth will chose to not put their lives and the lives of
others at risk."
-State Senator Careen Gordon - 75th District
"Teenagers feel they are invincible, this program
will help them to see that when drinking is involved, they
aren't"
-Rick Selk, Youth for Christ
"This program is a great preventative measure in
the battle against drinking and driving."
-Morgan Golden, Kankakee City Police Officer |
